As we close out 2025 and ring in 2026, Big Brothers Big Sisters has much to be thankful for and much hope for the future. We are deeply grateful for our dedicated volunteers, who impact every part of our organization. Our Bigs devote hundreds of hours each year supporting and guiding their Littles on their developmental journeys. Our Board of Directors and committee members dedicate their time to developing and executing strategic priorities that ensure financial stability and provide a safe, impactful environment for our participants. In addition, hundreds of volunteers help bring our annual events, match activities, and career exploration experiences to life. Volunteers drive our mission every day, and we thank them.
We are also thankful for the many investors who make our organization a priority in their annual giving. Annual gifts are investments in the future of youth in our community. This year’s theme, “The Next Match Starts with You,” directly connects investors to the youth we serve. A Match cannot happen without first investing in the infrastructure and processes that support it. A strong financial foundation provides the stability needed to build and sustain safe, engaged, long-term relationships. Without this investment, opportunities for hundreds of youth to access the resources and experiences they need to achieve academic, social, and economic success are lost.
As a society, we cannot afford to overlook the needs of youth in our community. Prioritizing time and investment early in their development lays the groundwork for them to achieve great things for themselves, their families, and our community.
