Volunteer Opportunities for Every Passion
There’s a volunteer opportunity for everyone at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley. Whether you love helping behind the scenes, cheering on participants, or leading fun activities – your time and energy make a real difference in the lives of our Littles and the families we serve. Volunteer Opportunities
Over the span of four days, 1,500 people will play our 24-hole indoor mini-golf course. Many hands are needed to ensure participants have a fun and organized time.
Volunteers are needed for the following:
- Serving food
- Staffing holes
- Table Caddy prep and sales
- Customer service: answering questions, showing participants where things are located
- Team photo station

This event, our largest fundraiser, would not be possible without the 200+ volunteers who help us during Plant Sale week. The Plant Sale is a great corporate volunteer opportunity.
Volunteers are needed to:
- Unload and sort flowers
- Fill pre-orders
- Deliver flowers
- Water flowers and maintain sale site
- Assist customers during retail sales

Every year, 100 people will rappel 11 stories down the Hotel Blackhawk to raise funds for BBBSMV. If rappelling isn’t your thing, consider being a part of the action by volunteering. We need lots of volunteers to guide and encourage our participants at various stages of their journey to the roof.

- Rooftop
- Rope Volunteers
- Participant check out
- Cheerleaders

Large events planned by BBBSMV for our Bigs, Littles, and their families. These events are the heart and soul of our organization, serving as an opportunity for our BBBSMV family to connect and have fun.
We need volunteers to ensure a special day for our Matches.
