Each spring, our Macomb community comes together for one of our most meaningful and beautiful fundraisers—the Macomb Plant Sale.
More than just flowers, this sale helps support life-changing mentoring relationships for youth in McDonough County. Every purchase directly contributes to connecting young people with caring adult mentors who help them build confidence, achieve their goals, and reach their full potential.
The Macomb Plant Sale features over 150 varieties of unique, high-quality annuals, grown to thrive in our region.
Whether you’re planting your home garden, enhancing your business landscape, or picking out the perfect gift, you’ll find:
- Vibrant annual flowers
- Full, beautiful hanging baskets
- A wide variety of colors and combinations
Plant Sale Details
The Macomb Plant Sale is proudly hosted at Fortress Bank in Macomb.
The sale typically takes place Mother’s Day weekend, making it the perfect opportunity to pick out something special for the moms and caregivers in your life.

Plant Sale: How It Works
Pre-Ordering (Recommended)
Pre-ordering is the best way to guarantee you get the flowers you want while also helping us operate efficiently and reduce waste—meaning more dollars go directly toward our mentoring programs.
- Pre-orders typically open mid-March
- Ordering remains open for about 6 weeks, closing in late April
- Orders over a certain amount qualify for free delivery
- All other orders can be picked up at Fortress Bank
Pickup & Delivery
- Scheduled for two days in early May, just before Mother’s Day weekend
- Choose the option that works best for you—delivery or easy pickup
Retail Sale
After all pre-orders have been fulfilled, we open for a limited retail sale:
- Typically held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday leading into Mother’s Day weekend
- Selection is more limited, so early shopping is encouraged
Volunteer at Plant Sale
The Macomb Plant Sale wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers.
We offer a variety of opportunities to get involved—from organizing orders to helping during pickup days.
