Big Impact Event A BIG Success!
Big Brothers Big Sisters celebrated the magic and impact of one-to-one mentoring at it's annual Big Impact Event on June 25th at the Rogalski Center on the campus of St. Ambrose University. The annual recognition event hosted by Julian Vandervelde presents outstanding stories of dedicated adult volunteers to serve as mentors as well as successful matches within the various platforms and region of the franchise.
The event took on a unique format this year, with the help of WHBF-CBS4 and it's talented news and production team. The BBBS Mentor Center set the stage for a fun evening. A live spinoff of the popular ESPN Sportscenter, BBBS Mentor Center provided a fun, exicting and fast paced format to recognize the organization's accomplishments, share insight into the short and long term impact mentoring has on child development and raised dollars in support of new and ongoing matches within the organization.
