Mabelle’s Spelling is 100 Percent!
“ None of them!” This was Mabelle’s enthusiastic response when asked how many of her spelling words had been difficult on this week’s test.
Just a few months earlier, her response was very different. However, since being matched with her Lunch Buddy, Jen, Mabelle’s spelling grades have dramatically improved.
When Jen first learned that Mabelle was struggling in spelling, she quickly contacted Mabelle’s teacher to offer her support. Since then, Mabelle’s teacher has emailed Jen with the current list of spelling words every week.
Practicing the words has now become a regular part of their weekly visits. Mabelle was ecstatic when she was able to tell Jen that she had gotten 100% on her test!
